:: Building Linked Web Communities in Biomedicine to Accelerate Research

The meeting "Building Linked Web Communities in Biomedicine to Accelerate Research", was designed to bring together individuals from basic research, medicine, non-profit foundations, and industry who have a strong interest in creating productive web communities. The agenda includes speaker presentations and panel discussions that describe the characteristics of successful web-based research communities, explore developments in open-source technology platforms, and discuss the value and structure of a semantic framework for integrating searches across multiple communities.
